US-based Integrated Industrial Systems (I2S) has won a contract to supply equipment to a cold laminate steel plant worth US$40 million in the southern province of Ba Ria – Vung Tau.
According to the contract, I2S will transfer technology to Thong Nhat Joint Stock Steel Company (TNS) and install the assembly line production at the company’s plant, to be completed in more than one year’s time.
Vo Van Khoi, TNS’ director, said once finished, the plant would reach an annual output of 241,000 tons of cold laminate steel.
The company would supply steel for both domestic and export markets of cars, home appliances and construction materials, Khoi said.
