The insulation and cooling properties of the transformer are affected by the quality of the oil. Water, gases and particulates together with sludge deteriorate the oil which results in lowering of dielectric breakdown voltage. If the transformer is left untreated, it definitely brings to its failure. New oil as well requires further degasification to remove air and moisture added during transportation and handling procedures.

The regeneration system category comprises UVM-R-0.7 model. The system is intended for full regeneration of transformer oil with adsorbent of electrical insulating oil viscosity of which does not exceed 70 cSt at temperature 50°C. That is the system is able to restore oil to its virgin properties.
